Law School colleagues recognised in College Awards

Several Edinburgh Law School colleagues have been recognised for their outstanding contributions to the College of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences (CAHSS) at the CAHSS Recognition Awards. The ceremony took place on 6 June in the Playfair Library. Six Law School colleagues had been shortlisted for awards, following the largest set of nominations by any School in the College.
Shortlisted for awards were:
- Dr Amy Lawton, Director of Equality and Diversity (Advancing Inclusion Award)
- Lindsay Jack, Director of the Student Experience (Advancing Inclusion Award)
- Professor Niamh Nic Shuibhne, Deputy Head of School & Director of Research (Outstanding Team Player Award)
- Andrew Farrer, Teaching Fellow and Tutor Mentor (Susan Manning Award for Inspiring Mentor Award)
- Deval Desai, Lecturer in International Economic Law (Susan Manning Award for Inspiring Mentor Award)
- Louisa Grotrian, Director of Professional Services (The Excellence in Leadership Award)
Receiving 'Highly Commended' in their award categories were Deval Desai and Lindsay Jack.
Professor Niamh Nic Shuibhne was awarded the Outstanding Team Player Award.
Several colleagues were also longlisted for awards;
• Alex Nuth - The Head of College Award for Exceptional Service
• Riva Bagully-Hawley - The Dean of Students Award for contribution to the Student Experience
• Law School Research Office - The Exceptional Team Award
• Niamh Nic Shuibhne - The Susan Manning Award for Inspiring Mentorship
