ELS PhD candidate Shona Warwick wins inaugural SULI scholarship

Edinburgh Law School PhD candidate, Shona Warwick, was recently announced as one of the two winners of the Scottish Universities Law Institute (SULI) Scholarships. This is the first year that the scholarships have been awarded.

Ms Warwick is undertaking a PhD on 'The Lease and the Licence in Scots law: A historical-doctrinal analysis' under the supervision of Prof Laura MacGregor, Ms Lorna Richardson and Mr Scott Wortley.

SULI was set up in the 1960s to fund treatises on Scots Law, and each Scottish law school is a member. SULI publications provide definitive texts on modern Scots law written by experts in their respective fields, and are relied upon by those involved at all levels of the Scottish legal system.
