Lungten Dubgyur is the former Attorney General of Bhutan (2020 - 2023).
In 1995, Mr Dubgyur joined the Judiciary as a Trainee Legal Officer in the High Court. He was amongst the first group of legal professionals to undergo the Post Graduate Diploma in National (Bhutanese) Law. Mr Dubgyur served as a Justice of the High Court of Bhutan and demitted the Office in May 2020, after the completion of his ten-year tenure following Article 21(13) of the Constitution, before he was appointed as Attorney General of Bhutan under the Hand and Seal of His Majesty the King on 20 July 2020 and served until 2023.
Mr Dubgyur has also carried out numerous legal research and writings, and has been a guest lecturer at Sherubtse College in Kanglung, Institute of Language and Cultural Studies in Taktsi, and the Royal Thimphu College in Thimphu.
Mr Dubgyur received his honours degree in economics from Sherubtse College in Kanglung, LLB from Government of Law College in Bombay India, and LLM from Edinburgh Law School in 2001.
