Biographical Details

Caroline Colliston was appointed as Director of the School of Law's new Centre for Professional Legal Studies in May 2011.

Prior to this Caroline was a teaching fellow and tutor and taught a variety of subjects on the Diploma in Legal Practice and on the Professional Competence Core and Elective courses and undergraduate Revenue Law. 

A graduate of the University of Dundee, Caroline trained and qualified as a solicitor with Maclay Murray & Spens LLP working there for almost 13 years, more recently as an associate in the corporate tax and share schemes team.  Caroline was recommended in the field of corporate tax in the Legal 500 in 2008 and 2009 and in Chambers and Partners in 2003.

Caroline is a practising solicitor and acts as a tax consultant for Blackwood Partners LLP and sits on various Law Society of Scotland accreditation panels.
