Past Visitors
Peter Lunday, a PhD candidate from the University of Canberra, Australia, is visiting the Centre from 2nd June to 17th July 2010. Peter is writing his thesis on new categories of international instruments that are emerging in international treaty practice.
Maria Catalina Garcia Chaves from Colombia who is taking part in the United Nations - The Nippon Foundation of Japan Fellowship Programme will be at the Centre from the 18th June to the 15th December 2010, during which time she will be conducting research on the management of maritime cultural heritage under the supervision of Professor Alan Boyle and Dr James Harrison.
Ms. Wan Xia from the China Foreign Affairs University visited the Centre in August 2009. Wan’s research interests include international environmental law and intellectual property law.
Mr. Theodore Kwadjosse from the Ghana Ministry of Fisheries, a United Nations-Nippon Foundation fellow, joined us from May to November 2008. Theo is conducting research on the conservation and management of fisheries resources of developing coastal states – a case study of Ghana. He is supervised by Professor Alan Boyle and Dr James Harrison.
Ms. Jana Bitabarova came as a visitor from the National University of Kazakhstan for two months in the summer of 2008 under a co-operation agreement with the Centre.
As part of the United Nations-Nippon Foundation Fellowship Programme, Ms. Aura Tatiana Ome Baron, from Colombia, visited the Centre from May to October 2007. Whilst she was at the Centre, Tatiana conducted research on the protection and conservation of maritime cultural heritage under the supervision of Professor Alan Boyle. Tatiana will continue her fellowship for a further three months at the Headquarters of the United Nations in New York.
Prof Toru Iwama of Seinan Gakuin University, Japan visited the Centre from 1 April 2007 to 30 September 2007.
