My thesis is a discussion of political constitutionalism in a Scottish context. It postulates a Scottish political constitutionalism that is partially separate from the British political constitution. It will evaluate the Scottish Parliament's adherence to its founding standards and the tenets of political constitutionalism before exploring how the parliament's and Scotland's political/legal constitutional design could be changed to operate more effectivelt and nourish the political constitution.
