PhD Study
Doctoral candidates are assisted by the appointment of two supervisors. These are experts in their field of study and are carefully chosen to provide each candidate with the best possible support to develop their thesis.
Students on the PhD programme submit a thesis of 100,000 words.
LLM by research Programmes
LLM by Research Requires the completion of an extended dissertation in the student's choice of subject.
LLM in Legal Research Requires students to take two courses on the ideas and practices of legal research, one core course of the student's choice from the list of LLM course options and the completion of an extended dissertation.
LLM by Research in History and Philosophy of Law Explores the relationships between research in Legal History and research in Legal Philosophy. Students are required to complete two core courses and one course of their choice from the specified list of relevant options. Students are also required to submit a dissertation.
