Rebecca Zahn awarded EUTC Brian Bercusson Award

Rebecca Zahn, who will be awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at this summer's graduation ceremony, was recently announced as the recipient of the 2011 EUTC Brian Bercusson Award.  The award was presented at the EUTC Congress in May 2011 in Athens, Greece.

Rebecca Zahn, who will be awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at this summer's graduation ceremony, was recently announced as the recipient of the 2011 EUTC Brian Bercusson Award.  The award was presented at the EUTC Congress in May 2011 in Athens, Greece.

The Brian Bercusson award was instituted by the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) in memory of Professor Brian Bercusson, Professor of European Social and Labour Law at Kings College London, who died in 2008. The prize, awarded this year for the first time, was established to recognise an outstanding and dynamic PhD thesis in the field of European Labour Law. The Award will be given once every four years at the European Trade Union Confederation's Congress. The winner will receive a financial prize as well as the publication and dissemination of their research results by the ETUC.

Rebecca Zahn is currently a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy.
