Professor Joseph Weiler of New York University Law School, who has been a leading authority in EU law for quarter of a century, will deliver the first ever series of MacCormick lectures between 23-26 May.

These public lectures, which will be published in due course, are named in honour of our late colleague, Sir Neil MacCormick. Professor Weiler was a friend of Neil's and a great admirer of his work. The theme of his lecture series is 'A Christian Europe'. In the lectures, Professor Weiler will explore the relationship between the tradition, contemporary meaning and symbolism of Christianity across our continent and the continuing prospects of European integration.
