Edinburgh Law School is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the new LLM in Law and Chinese.

The new two-year LLM in Law and Chinese provides students with a unique opportunity to study the law at LLM level while at the same time receiving intensive training in Modern Standard Chinese language (Mandarin). This innovative programme is jointly coordinated between the School of Law and the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Edinburgh.

Students will spend the first year of the programme in Edinburgh studying law and beginning their Chinese language training. In the summer, and for the first semester of the second year, they will develop their language skills and appreciation of Chinese culture through an Approved Residence Abroad scheme at a prestigious Chinese University. Students will return to Edinburgh in the second semester of the second year where they will complete their language training and additional courses in law as well as a supervised dissertation.
