The School of Law’s Free Legal Advice Centre, based within the Centre for Professional Legal Studies, is delighted to report that the Law School Music Society Concert raised a fantastic £611 in donations for the Centre last Friday. Students from the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice collected donations from attendees at the concert to support the ongoing work of the Centre, which provides free legal advice on matters such as family law, property law and employment law.

Diploma students meet with clients under the supervision of volunteer solicitors, who generously donate their time to the Centre, to provide free advice and in some cases free aid. The Centre is fundamental in providing a much needed service to so many who, in the current economic climate, just can't afford standard legal fees. The Centre is immensely grateful to all those who donated so generously.

The funds will go towards supporting the running operations of the Centre.
