Scottish Government Publish Edinburgh Research into Knife Crime and Gang Culture in Scotland

The Scottish Government has in the last week begun to publish reports detailing the findings of a number of Edinburgh-based research groups.  In particular, the work of Susan McVie, Professor of Quantitative Criminology, has featured heavily in these recent publications.

The two published reports deal in the main with the problems of knife carrying and youth gang activity among young adults in Scotland.  Each report also makes recommendations for policy interventions to address these issues.
