Students' "Hackathon" event featured in the Times

Edinburgh Law Connections led the Hackathon on 31 March 2017

On 31 March, Edinburgh Law School students led a landmark Law and Artificial Intelligence Hackathon at the University's Outreach Centre. The event, part of the University's Festival of Creative Learning, engaged with questions about the future and potential of artificial intelligence.

Organised by student society Edinburgh Law Connections, the Hackathon included a panel discussion with three distinguished speakers - David Halliwell from Pinsent Masons, Akber Datoo of D2 Legal Technology and Jimmy Vestbirk of Legal Geek.

The event was featured in an article in The Times newspaper, discussing how artificial intelligence may be a boost for lawyers in the future.

Congratulations to all of the staff and students involved in this landmark event!
