The Founder of the South African Streetlaw Programme visited the Edinburgh Centre for Professional Legal Studies
The Edinburgh Centre for Professional Legal Studies recently hosted Professor David McQuoid-Mason, founder of the South African Streetlaw Programme and Professor of Law at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban. Professor McQuoid-Mason is a regular visitor to Scotland.
Streetlaw is a student project which aims to share legal information with people in local communities through the use of interactive presentations. It is a fantastic opportunity for students to develop their legal research and presentation skills, interact with members of the community and work directly with legal practitioners. All of the students who attended his latest workshop will be instrumental in developing Edinburgh Law School's Streetlaw initiative.
