The award is made in recognition of outstanding international scholarship
Edinburgh Law School's Professor Neil Walker, Regius Professor of Public Law and the Law of Nature and Nations, was presented with the Francqui medal at a ceremony in Leuven last month.
This prestigious medal is awarded in recognition of outstanding international scholarship. The award accompanies the International Francqui chair, under the terms of which Professor Walker is delivering a series of lectures and seminars. His hosts for these events are KU Leuven's Institute of Philosophy, KU Leuven's Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Law of the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
These sessions will be broadly considering the topic of "Europe: Imagining the First Post-State Polity". Details of the events - including recordings of the central lecture series - can be found here.
Congratulations to Professor Walker on this well-deserved acknowledgement of his work.
