Law School staff have been recognised in the University's latest round of professorial appointments.
Sharon Cowan has been appointed Personal Chair of Feminist and Queer Legal Studies.
Professor Designate Cowan's research interests include gender, sexuality and the law, feminist legal theory, criminal law, criminal justice and asylum studies. She's also the Law School's Director of Research.
Claudio Michelon has been appointed Personal Chair of Philosophy of Law.
Professor Designate Michelon is interested in the interfaces between legal decision-making, ethics and epistemology. He is also interested in the investigation of law's political authority and, in particular, law's role as a mediating institution between the ultimate meaning of communal life and concrete decision making. He is also Director of the Law School's PhD Training Programme.
Elisa Morgera has been appointed to Personal Chair in Global Environment Law.
Professor Morgera is interested in European, international and comparative environmental law. She is the founding Programme Director of the LLM in Global Environment and Climate Change Law.
