Law School Academic part of Scottish Government advisory group on human rights leadership

Dr Tobias Lock has been invited to join group designed to discuss Scotland's commitment to human rights

Edinburgh Law School's Dr Tobias Lock has been appointed to serve as a member of the Scottish Government's new Advisory Group on Human Rights Leadership.

The First Minister addressed the group's first meeting in Edinburgh and emphasised the need for Scotland to be ambitious, stating: "The Scottish government has been resolute in standing up for human rights...However, it is vital we are not complacent and continue to push ourselves to do more to ensure human rights are embedded in everything we do."

Dr Lock joins other academics from across Scotland and we look forward to hearing more about the group's important work.
