Madeleine Rees OBE, Secretary General of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, is to be made an honorary graduate at the Law School's winter graduation ceremony on 25th November.
The distinguished international lawyer and human rights advocate will be awarded a Doctor of Science in Social Science.
Rees will also deliver a Chrystal Macmillan Lecture titled "Myths and Realities: What is the Women, Peace and Security Agenda?" and participate on a roundtable on human rights, both on 26th November.
This year's winter ceremony will also see Professor Sir Anthony Bottoms, Emeritus Wolfson Professor of Criminology at the University of Cambridge, made an honorary graduate. Sir Anthony will receive the Doctor of Laws.
