The University of Edinburgh’s Edinburgh Centre for Professional Legal Studies hosted a day long Streetlaw workshop for Law students from Edinburgh Law School, Strathclyde University and Glasgow Caledonian University on Thursday 10 September.
Streetlaw is a student-project which aims to share legal information with people in local communities through the use of interactive presentations.
The workshop was delivered by eminent Street lawyer, Professor David McQuoid-Mason, founder of the South African Streetlaw Programme and Professor of Law at University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban. Professor McQuoid-Mason is a regular visitor to Scotland and delivered his workshop at the Scottish University Law Clinic Network (SULCN) conference at the University of Edinburgh in 2014.
The students who attended his latest workshop will continue to develop Edinburgh Law School’s Streetlaw initiative.
