Edinburgh Law School to support ongoing law reform

Landmark agreement will strengthen relationship between the Scottish Law Commission and Scotland's law schools

A new scheme involving university academic staff and postgraduate students has been unveiled. Representatives from ten Scottish Universities, including Edinburgh Law School, will be consulting on ongoing law reforms after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding setting out new arrangements.

Lord Pentland, Chairman of the Commission, said "I warmly welcome this ground-breaking agreement, paving the way for improved collaboration between the Scottish Law Commission and Scottish law schools."

Two of Edinburgh Law School's academics, Hector MacQueen and Andrew Steven, are currently Scottish Law Commissioners. We look forward to working ever more closely with the Commission in the future.
