The University of Edinburgh has climbed 17 places to reach 29th position in the THE World Reputation Rankings 2015.
It is the first time the University has reached the top 30 in this league table.
"Our rise in these rankings is not only great news for the University but also for Scotland," says Professor Sir Timothy O’Shea, Principal, The University of Edinburgh.
"It is a tribute to the quality of our staff and students and confirms the University of Edinburgh as one of the world’s leading research and teaching establishments whose activity is having an impact on a truly global scale."
The Times Higher Education World Reputation Rankings is published annually by weekly education publication Times Higher Education.
