Edinburgh Law School academic represented Forum Conveniens on 24th November
Dr Veronica Ruiz Abou-Nigm was part of a panel of experts who met with Scottish Justice Secretary Michael Matheson to discuss the implications of the Brexit vote upon Scotland's justice system.
The meeting was attended by police officers, lawyers and Scotland's Lord Advocate James Wolffe Q.C. Dr Ruiz Abou-Nigm was representing Forum Conveniens.
Forum Conveniens is a forum based at the Law School, dedicated to International Private Law. Its based in Edinburgh reflects the distinctive role of Scots law in the development of the subject, but at the same time the focus of the Forum is international.
