Edinburgh Law School’s Dr Kasey McCall-Smith has been invited to speak at the Scottish Parliament on “UN Human Rights Implementation in Scotland”.
Dr McCall-Smith spoke at the invitation of CIFAL Scotland, which is a constituent part of the United Nations’ network of international training centres, UNITAR. The event, entitled “UN: 70 Years of Service to Humanity” was hosted by MSP Christina McKelvie.
Guests also heard from MAY East, CEO of CIFAL Scotland and Associate Fellow of UNITAR, and Dr Gari Donn, Executive Director of UN House Edinburgh. Joanna Keating, Head of the International Development programme for the Scottish Government, also spoke to the congregated delegates.
