Dr Kasey McCall-Smith assumes the role of Chair of the Association of Human Rights Institutes (AHRI)

The term will run for three years 

Dr Kasey McCall-Smith, Programme Director for our LLM in Human Rights, has assumed the role of the Chair of the Association of Human Rights Institutes (AHRI). AHRI was founded in 2000 by a number of well-known human rights scholars and activists.

Dr McCall-Smith will lead this international network of over 60 member institutions. As part of this, Edinburgh Law School's Global Justice Academy will host the 2018 AHRI Conference.

The new Chair will serve alongside Executive Secretary Dr Elaine Webster of Strathclyde. The term will run for three years.
