Dr Kasey McCall-Smith and Human Rights Treaty Incorporation

Dr McCall-Smith has been out around town presenting evidence regarding the pros and cons of human rights treaty incorporation.

On 2 November she delivered a presentation to the Scottish Human Rights Commission's Strengthening Economic, Social and Cultural Rights Steering Committee on the variable approaches to incorporating socio-economic rights in Scotland.

The following day, 3 November, she delivered a presentation on strong and weak global examples of incorporation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child at the Rights of the Child UK (ROCK) Conference in Edinburgh and then served on a panel alongside the Children and Young People's Commissioner for Scotland and Dr Simon Hoffman (University of Swansea), who is the Coordinator of the Wales Observatory for Human Rights of Children and Young People.
