The 16th Annual INADR International Law School Mediation Tournament took place in Glasgow on 5-8 April 2017
Three students from the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice took part in 16th Annual INADR International Law School Mediation Tournament in Glasgow on 5th-8th April 2017. The students, Alison Skeoch, Laura Lee and Dan Carolan, performed exceptionally well. They even managed to reach the semi-finals of the competition as a team. All three were placed in the top ten individual mediators out of a very strong international field. Pamela Lyall, one of Scotland’s leading and most experienced commercial mediators and Lead Tutor for the Mediation Elective on the DipPLP, coached the students for the competition.The tournament was held at Strathclyde University and brought together 126 students in 42 teams from 15 countries including India, Singapore, Turkey, Poland, Russia, Lithuania, Greece, Brazil, Canada and the USA. The annual event, started by the International Academy of Dispute Resolution (INADR) in 2002, aims to train law students in the peaceful resolution of disputes.
