Academic publishes article on Guantanamo Bay in the Scotsman

Dr Kasey McCall Smith, programme director of the LLM in Human Rights, has written an insightful account of the time she spent at the infamous Guantanamo Bay detention centre.

"I am overwhelmed," she has written, "by the idea that unlike the 780 men held at Guantanamo Bay...since 2002, I have entered, and will depart, by choice." Her personal experiences make for a compelling read and were featured in Saturday's Scotsman newspaper.
