Mr Nicholas Haysom will be presenting, 'Constitutional Transitions in Post-Conflict Societies'.
Mr Nicholas Haysom, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), will deliver a public lecture on "Constitutional Transitions in Post-Conflict Societies". Mr Haysom is an internationally renowned constitution-making practitioner, with extensive experience in South Africa, Burundi, Sudan, and Iraq, as well as numerous other Asian and African countries.
The public lecture is part of a new partnership, "Post-Conflict Constitution-Building Dialogues", between the Edinburgh Centre for Constitutional Law and the Constitution Building Processes programme of International IDEA, in association with the Global Justice Academy.
All those attending the lecture are invited to a reception prior to the lecture at the Lorimer Room, 16:00-17:00. The lecture and Q&A will be from 17:00-18:30 in the adjacent Lecture Theatre 175.
