Travel Information

Please note: Edinburgh Law School's home in Old College is currently undergoing extensive refurbishment, during this time we will be located at: David Hume Tower, George Square, Edinburgh, EH8 9JX.

Travelling to Edinburgh

Edinburgh has very good rail links, and the main railway station, Edinburgh Waverley, is just a short walk from the Law School. Edinburgh also has excellent air links to Europe; see Edinburgh Airport's website for further details.

From the airport, the Airlink Express bus (https://lothianbuses.co.uk/airport) takes just 25 minutes to reach Edinburgh Waverley station and and the tram (http://edinburghtrams.com/plan-a-journey/edinburgh-airport) will take you to Princess Street in the same time. Alternatively, the local number 35 bus runs immediately past the Law School (on Chambers Street), but with a journey time of an hour.

Cycling

Large numbers of staff and students cycle though the city each day using the City's on and off road cycle path network.

Sheltered cycle parking is provided underneath David Hume Tower and under the South arches of Old College

Free Dr Bike sessions are run at on central campus for staff and students. At the sessions Dr Bike provides a free bicycle safety inspection and does their best to fix minor problems on the spot to any bikes brought along on the day. For problems that cannot be repaired on the spot, Dr Bike will give each bike an 'MOT' certificate to take away to a bike shop.
