The Empirical Legal Research Network

 Welcome to the webpages of the Empirical Legal Research Network.

The Network was established in February 2009 and is convened by Professor Lesley McAra.  It has three key functions:

  • to provide a resource bank of methodological skills and legal expertise which can be drawn on by academics, policy-makers and practitioners;
  • to facilitate trans-disciplinary research collaboration on topics relating to law in the real world and to disseminate the results of such research;
  • to support a range of specialist training and knowledge exchange activities.
