PhD Criminology Conference

15th-16th September 2011, University of Edinburgh
3rd Annual PhD Criminology Conference
'Emerging Research in European Criminology'

The third annual PhD Criminology Conference was held in the city of Edinburgh, at the School of Law, Old College, University of Edinburgh, on 15th and 16th September 2011. This followed on from the inaugural conference at the University of Oxford in 2009, and the second PhD Criminology conference held at the University of Cambridge in 2010.

In order for doctoral students from across Europe to engage in discussion about emerging research interests in criminology, papers for this conference were drawn from across this broad field, ranging from insights into unique methodological approaches to theoretical discussion of crime in society today.

As in previous years, the conference themed panel sessions of student papers, as well as plenary speeches, and an expert panel on postgraduate issues. The conference provided a forum for doctoral criminology students to meet and to gain an insight into research taking place across Europe today.

Registration

Conference registration was just £20 to attend the conference, or just £50 to register for the conference and also have accommodation in central Edinburgh for the night of 15th September.
