The new EUDO Citizenship Glossary up-dates and revises the NATAC Glossary.

This document provides a glossary of important terms in the area of acquisition and loss of nationality, which was initially produced as part of the NATAC project. The definitions contained concern different statuses (nationality, citizenship, special nationality status, multiple nationality, etc.) as well as types (by birth, naturalisation, declaration, etc.) and modes of acquisition (e.g. ius sanguinis, residence-based or affinity based acquisition, transfer or extension of acquisition) and loss of nationality (lapse, withdrawal, renunciation, etc.). As part of the EUCITAC project, the glossary has now been extended and made available on this website as the new EUDO Citizenship Glossary.
