29th October 2009 - Speaker: Maurya Kilroy, Assistant District Counsel, US Army Corps of Engineers on "Recovery from Hurricane Katrina: Perspective of a Government Attorney"
24th November 2009 - Speaker: Steven Walker, Advocate on "The Renaissance of Scottish International Arbitration" (the full text of the paper is available here)
7th December 2009 - Workshop on "The Role of Consent in Contract Law: Principles and Practice" introduced by Lord Glennie, the Principal Commercial Judge in the Court of Session. Papers were delivered by Dr Gillian Black and Martin Richardson on formation of contract (a skeleton of Gillian Black's paper is available here); by David Cabrelli and Sean Smith on interpretation of contracts (a skeleton of David Cabrelli's paper is available here); Dr Peter Webster and Roisin Higgins on rectification of contracts; and Laura Macgregor and John MacGregor on agency and contract (a skeleton of Laura Macgregor's paper is available here). The session concluded with a summary by Dr Mark Godfrey, University of Glasgow.
1st February 2010 - Joan Cradden, from Brodies LLP, spoke on "The furore over banker's bonuses and its influence on the development of remuneration policies and the employment contract".
12th March 2010 - The Centre's Annual Lecture was given by Lord Hope of Craighead, Deputy President of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom . The lecture on "Taking the case to London - maybe it's not all over after all". A summary of the event is available here.
2nd June 2010 - workshop held jointly with the Scottish Law Commission: “Insurance Contract Law: Damages for Late Payment and the Insurer's Duty of Good Faith.” The workshop was chaired by Lord Penrose and speakers including David Hertzell, Law Commission; Prof Hector MacQueen, Scottish Law Commission; Lex Dowie, Eversheds LLP and Lindy Patterson QC, Dundas & Wilson LLP.
23 June 2010 - conference organised jointly with the Scottish Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Faculty of Advocates, the Law Society of Scotland and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors on "The Arbitration (Scotland) Act 2010: a new beginning.” The programme for the event is here, and a review of the event is here.
2nd August 2010 - Professor Irene-Marie Esser, University of South Africa: 'Directors' Duties: The new Companies Act and King III - A South African Perspective’. A summary of the event is available here.

3rd March 2009 - Book Launch: 'The Unauthorised Agent: Perspectives from European and Comparative Law' edited by Danny Busch and Laura Macgregor, with addresses by Dr Busch, Ms Macgregor and Professor Kenneth Reid.
