LLM programme fees
If you are studying full time over 12 months, the full annual fee is payable for that academic year.
If you are studying part time, you pay a percentage of the annual fee in each year of study.
Tuition Fees 2012/13
The following table set out the fees due in 2012/13 and subsequent years.
These fees apply to all students enrolled on the online distance learning LLM programmes, whether you reside in the UK, an EU country or elsewhere in the world.

*The annual fee increases each year, by approximately 5%. The amount due in future years is a percentage of the annual fee that is set for that academic year.
Graduate discount scheme
The University offers a 10% discount in postgraduate tuition fees for all alumni who have graduated with an undergraduate degree from the University of Edinburgh (conditions apply).

If your fees are being paid on your behalf by a sponsor such as your employer you need to provide the Fees and Student Support Team with evidence of the award.

The fee payable each year may be paid as a single payment, or in instalments. All payments must be paid in Sterling.
Payments in full
The University accepts payments in full by:
- Credit card or debit card - online via the Student Finance Channel or via the University's online payment system; or over the telephone
- Bank transfer
- Cheque drawn on a UK bank account.
Payments by instalments
The following options for paying in instalments are available:
