Understanding Data Protection & Freedom of Information

Self-access course focused on understanding Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

Copyright and the Creative Industries Course

Information rights & responsibilities is a new self-access course which aims to provide you with the knowledge and information to respond with confidence to the diverse data protection issues or FOI scenarios that may arise in the workplace. The underlying principles of the legislation are covered in detail, as are the relevant practices that must be followed. Your staff will need to understand why a certain course of action is the right way to go, as well as how to follow it through.

Module materials are rich and relevant, with many examples and case studies from real practice, and opportunities to test learning through quizzes and reflective activities.
The course is taken online on a 'self-access' basis, meaning that you can dip in whenever you like, and work through the materials at your own pace. All you will need is a computer with internet access. You will have two months to complete the course, and at the end you will receive a certificate of completion and a CD of course materials for future reference.

Course fee and online bookings

This course is available for a fee of £85 until 31 May 2012.  From 1 June 2012 the course fee will be £120.
