Teaching at the Centre

As a core part of research dissemination, the Director and Co-directors of the Centre are all involved in teaching to students and practitioners alike. Ongoing research at the Centre allows staff to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the fields of intellectual property law, information technology law, and medical jurisprudence, all of which underpins the curricula of Master of Laws (LL.M) programmes, as well as a number of continuing professional development courses.

These enable students, especially those on the named LL.M Innovation, Technology and Law, to develop a thorough understanding of the synergies between law, technology, commerce and society. Students can choose to take the LL.M programme on campus at The University of Edinburgh, or online as it is also offered through distance learning.

Additionally, the Centre offers a variety of continuing professional development courses in its specialist subject areas, focussing on topics such as data protection and freedom of information. If your company or organisation is interested in commissioning a bespoke course to suit their needs, then please contact the Centre to discuss further.
