This project is taking shape under the auspices of the European Association of Health Law (EAHL). The first meeting of the project took place in Toulouse in July 2007, chaired by Laurie and attended by colleagues from leading health law centres around Europe. The initial aim is to organise a conference to be held in Edinburgh on 10-11 April 2008. It is anticipated that 150-200 people will attend the conference, which will be a 2-day event. The conference will double as a platform to bring together potential collaborators to take the Forum initiative forward. The theme of the conference will be the Future of Health Law in Europe and will serve as a natural focus for the on-going work of the Forum.
