| IT Think Tank |
The first meeting of the Information Technology Think Tank was held in Edinburgh in October 2007. We were delighted to welcome pre-eminent UK academics from across the broad church of IT law. There was a stimulating discussion about the contribution the Think Tank can make in respect of increasing the academic impact in policy engagement, inter-institutional PhD supervision, postgraduate teaching and collaborative funded research projects (leading to consideration of a Leverhulme application). It is also hoped that the group will expand to include non lawyers, in particular computer and social scientists, and ethicists, and experts from industry, policy making and professional practice.
The group is presently considering the next phase of the initiative and would be delighted to hear from anyone interested in becoming involved.
